A two storey professional office building designed for modern technology but constructed largely with reclaimed materials from a number of previously demolished structures. All major structural materials were represented, including cast-in-place and precast concrete, masonry and structural steel, conventional and pre-engineered wood products. The building represents the ideology of its occupants.

We’ve had the utmost pleasure to act as David’s structural engineer through the majority of his buildings, and miss our friend, his visits and frequent collaborations. We learned a lot from David, and our office is a daily reminder of how to approach design, with purpose. Everyone of David’s buildings make you smile, not only the first visit but also the visits after as you notice the nuanced layers of materiality, light and purpose.
