2022 Governor General’s Medal in Architecture
2022 Prairie Design Award of Merit - Small Project

This award winning structure was completed in 2021 to replace the former picnic shelter from the 1960s. It contains a public washroom, a warming shelter, a gathering area and is designed to meet the FEMA guidelines for floodable structures. The exterior of the structure features perforated Douglas Fir slat siding giving the pavilion a lantern-like look after dark.
